NCR Printing Guides

Our free design service means you don’t need print-ready artwork. You just need to tell us what you need — and our designers will create it. Getting the brief right first time means faster turnaround, fewer revision rounds, and forms that work exactly as intended.

1. Business Name and Contact Details

Tell us exactly how you want your business name, phone, email, and website displayed. If you’re Gas Safe registered, include your number — we’ll add it prominently. Other trade accreditations (NAPIT, NICEIC, Checkatrade) can be included too.

2. Your Logo

Send your logo as a high-resolution file: PDF, AI, EPS, or PNG at 300dpi minimum. If you only have a JPG from your website, send it — we’ll let you know if the quality is sufficient.

No logo yet? Just tell us your business name and we’ll set it in a clean professional typographic style at no charge.

3. Form Type and Fields — Be Specific

This is the most important part. Tell us what the form is and exactly what it needs to capture. For example:

“Job sheet for a plumbing company. Fields: Date, Customer name, Site address, Work description, Parts used, Labour hours, Net price, VAT, Total inc VAT, Customer signature, Plumber signature. Add a checkbox for ‘follow-up visit required’ and a small notes section.”

If you have an existing form you want to improve, scan it and attach it — that’s the clearest brief of all.

4. Paper Colours

Choose the colour for each copy. The top sheet is always white. Common combinations:

  • 2-part: White + Yellow
  • 3-part: White + Yellow + Pink
  • 4-part: White + Yellow + Pink + Blue

If you want a footer note on each copy indicating where it goes (e.g. “Yellow — Office copy”), just mention it.

5. Format, Size, and Quantity

Sets, pads, or books — paper size (A6, DL, A5, A4, A3) — number of parts — and your quantity. If unsure on size, A5 is the most popular choice for invoices and job sheets.

What Happens After You Submit

  1. We review your brief and create artwork — usually within a few hours
  2. We email a PDF proof for your review
  3. You approve or request changes — unlimited revisions at no charge
  4. Once approved, we go to print and dispatch within 24 hours

The design service and all revisions are free. You pay only the stated order price.
