NCR single sheets — also known as carbonless single sheets, NCR cut sheets or loose NCR paper — are individual pre-printed sheets of NCR paper supplied without gluing or binding. Each sheet forms one part of a multi-part set, allowing you to collate your own sets, feed them through high-volume printers, or use them in continuous-feed and tractor-feed printing environments.

Unlike NCR sets (where sheets are pre-glued together), single sheets are supplied entirely loose — giving you maximum flexibility in how you use, store and handle them. This makes NCR single sheets the format of choice for businesses running large print runs through office printers, production environments using automated data merge, or any workflow where pre-collated sets would be impractical.

How NCR Single Sheets Work

Each NCR single sheet is coated with a micro-encapsulated chemical on its reverse (CB — coated back), its face (CF — coated front), or both (CFB — coated front and back). When pressure is applied through writing or impact printing, the capsules rupture and react with the sheet below, creating a legible impression without any carbon paper:

  • CB (Coated Back): Top copy — the sheet you write on
  • CFB (Coated Front & Back): Middle copies in 3 or 4-part sets
  • CF (Coated Front): Bottom copy — the final receiving sheet

Available Colours & Sizes

NCR single sheets are available in white, yellow, pink and blue. Standard sizes include A6, A5, A4, A3 and custom sizes up to SRA3. All sheets can be pre-printed with your logo, form layout, sequential numbering, barcodes and any required text. Portrait and landscape orientations both available.

NCR sets are groups of pre-glued sheets (2, 3 or 4 parts) delivered as a complete ready-to-use set. NCR single sheets are individual loose sheets — you collate them yourself into sets, or use them directly in high-volume or automated printing workflows. Single sheets offer maximum flexibility; sets are faster to use in day-to-day manual applications.

CB (Coated Back) is the top sheet — it releases ink when pressure is applied. CFB (Coated Front and Back) is used for middle copies in 3 or 4-part sets. CF (Coated Front) is the bottom copy that receives the impression. When ordering, specify how many parts your set needs and we will supply the correct coating for each position.

Yes. Our NCR single sheets are laser printer compatible. For multi-part printing, feed each part through the printer separately using a data-merge workflow, then manually collate. For best results with inkjet printers, contact us to discuss paper weight and coating suitability for your specific printer model.

Standard sizes are A6, A5, A4 and A3. SRA3 and custom cut sizes are available on larger runs. Portrait and landscape orientations are both available. Contact us if you need a non-standard size.

NCR single sheets are packaged in reams or bundles by colour/coating type. Each bundle is clearly labelled with the coating type (CB, CFB or CF) and colour to make collation straightforward.
