NCR books are multiple NCR sets stapled together into a book format, typically containing 50 sets. The last copy (bottom sheet) is usually perforated so it can be easily torn out and retained, while the top copies remain in the book as a permanent record.

The book format gives a more professional appearance than pads and is preferred in customer-facing situations such as receipts, estimates, and invoices presented in person.
